Whether I’m tackling planks or letting the children join in for some yoga fun on a rainy day, it provides a dependable surface for us all. The cushioning offers reasonable support without being overly soft, though those with sensitive joints might find it a little thinner than they’d prefer. It's worth mentioning that it didn’t lie completely flat straight out of the packaging but has now settled well. I received this yoga mat for free through Amazon Vine to provide an honest and unbiased review. While mine came in a shocking pink colour, I'd regard this as a fair 'stock' yoga mat. It's much longer than a normal one, topping out at nearly two meters, which is practical and useful depending on your height or what you use your mat for. It comes with a carrying strap and, because it's thin, it rolls up well. For me personally, I'm not sure it provides enough cushioning, but it's not unusually thin. It also has a warning that it will wear out over time. For what it is, I can't see any negatives about it though.

I’m fairly new to yoga and Pilates and have been using a mat provided by the gym I attend. This is fine unless the person before you has had really sweaty feet and then the mat can be a little unpleasant. Having my own mat seemed like a good plan now I am more committed to my classes. This really is an XXL mat. What I like about it is it is nice and thick – preventing me from feeling the hard floor, especially when I am on my knees. The texture is anti-slip, and this has helped me maintain positions such as downward facing dog. It is easy to roll up and has straps which hold it in place while in transit between home and class. It is easy to clean. However, on the downside, the large size of the mat means that I take up more space in the gym than the other participants, and while the pink colour is nice it also stands out – making me feel quite conspicuous and self-conscious too. This is not a cheap mat either. With hindsight, I think I’d have preferred an average sized mat in black. However, if you have the space, or practice alone, you may find this yoga mat perfect for you.

The Good Nite Yoga Mat (Large) arrived surrounded by excess plastic wrapping 👎. It is larger (190x90x0.6 cm) than the normal mat offering ample space for yogis of all shapes and sizes. The thickness is adequate to provide comfortable cushioning for your joints while still offering stability for balancing poses and it is relatively non-slip. When first used it was a little slippy on downward dog but that settled with time as I got used to the texture. The mat is made from Thermoplastic Elastomers which have both advantages and disadvantages. The advantages are mainly environmental as the production of TPE mats consume less energy to produce, and does not need compounding, or the addition of reinforcing agents, stabilisers or cure systems and are non-toxic. These mats are not recyclable from home but can be used in-process to make new yoga mats. However the mat is not UV stable and can only be hand washed and is less durable than other materials. The mat is lightweight and easy to roll up, making it convenient to carry to and from your yoga classes or studio. The mat size is especially useful for demonstrating online Yoga as the large size is better seen in a central position. Also useful for a larger person or someone new to yoga. Overall a fine mat with an attractive leaf design - it comes with a carry strap and £29.00 is a reasonable price for such a large mat.
