These mats are great, very well cushioned and very well priced. I have used them to create a gym in my garage. If you are using weights and or benches/machines then I would recommend getting one of the 6x4 18mm rubber mats from easimat to go on top of these mats and under your equipment, you only need one or two. I also put cheap underlay down first onto the concrete floor which protects the underside of the mat.

Have used these mats to create a home dojo and found them very easy to lay. Cushioning is great and as for the smell, it does wear off after a couple of weeks. The only issue I have found is that for bare feet e.g.. martial arts practice, the mats are very slippery and I am finding that I need to use a damp towel to wet my feet and gain traction. Hopefully this is down to them being brand new but at the moment it is a bit frustrating.

I bought these to double up and put my exercise mat on so I can stretch and twist without laying on the cold floor. These are fantastic for it. Really keeps the cold off your back and they are just soft enough to stop your joints digging and aching. Easy to wipe clean too and much wider than a normal exercise mat too, which is a big plus.

Upon unpacking these mats I was greeted with a substantial chemical odour, presumably from manufacture. There was a note included in the package which suggested that it may take several days for the smell to dissipate. The mats have so far been stored in the garage for 2 months for the smell to reduce to an acceptable level for indoors. Since they also appear to be about as hard and unforgiving as my bare living room floor, I can wait a little longer.
