Honestly I don't think many people are buying this as their proper belt. It's cheap and doesn't look great. I used it as a donor of the correct width so I could lengthen my proper Tokaido belt a bit. Most people who pass their dan grading celebrate by treating themselves to a nice black belt, so I'm not sure who is buying this. Maybe it'd be a useful spare to have at the dojo in case somebody forgets their belt?
